Sarah's professional focus on racial identity and growthful racial conversations means that every student at Greenwood will engage with course content that prepares you to engage with racial differences between you and those you want to help, all as part of your foundational training. We don't just focus on avoiding discrimination at Greenwood; we also want to support you engaging with the beauty of difference with confidence and respect.

Inside our Academy
Our academy is based in the beautiful village of Keyworth, Nottinghamshire. We're in an ideal location to offer our quality counselling training across the Midlands.
We understand that it's important to create the right environment to support your learning. We pride ourselves on taking the time to consider all the details to create a space that provides what you need - and more!
The learning space
Our main training room includes all the exciting learning resources you need to learn and develop.
With a TV for multimedia course content, as well as a rich selection of creative material, we've thought of a range of ways to support your classroom learning.
Space to practice
We have three dedicated skills practice rooms in our academy. Each room has been designed to reflect a real-life counselling room, with the additional requirements for a training space. All in all, we want to provide you with the perfect setting to carry out your skills practice work.
With space for 4 people per room, you'll also complete group discussions in these spaces and on occasions your tutors will join you to support, encourage and observe these professional conversations.
It's not all 'work'
Work is important, and so is taking decent breaks.
During all break times you can take full advantage of our student break out / library space. You choose whether you want to relax in the comfortable seating area or be inspired by the selection of books on our bookshelves.
Each book has been selected by our tutoring team and has been chosen as a rich invitation to expand your thinking. If we come across a new book, we'll highlight this and add it to our library for you.
We provide the essentials
Our kitchen comes stocked with tea, coffee and a selection of milk (including oat milk) for you. We also have mugs, crockery and cutlery.
We have a fridge and microwave on site and the local area has both a café and supermarket for break time food and drinks.
space to park
On street parking directly outside our academy is limited to 1 hour and on a first-come-first-served basis. However, there is ample parking available in the village hall a short walk around the corner.
