Our Academy
Our beautiful Greenwood Counselling Academy has been thoughtfully designed to provide everything you need for an inspiring, high-quality learning experience. From dedicated skills practice rooms to comfortable spaces to reflect and recharge, every part of the academy supports your growth, confidence, and professional development as a counsellor.
The learning space
Our main training room is designed to support your learning and development with a variety of resources. From a multimedia-enabled TV to a rich selection of creative materials, every element is thoughtfully provided to enhance your classroom experience and help you grow as a counsellor.
Space to practice
Our academy features three dedicated skills practice rooms, each designed to mirror a real counselling setting while providing everything needed for training. These rooms offer the perfect environment for developing your skills, with space for you and your peers to engage in group discussions. At times, tutors will join to guide, support, and observe these professional conversations, helping you grow with confidence and competence.
It's not all 'work'
We believe rest is just as important as hard work. During breaks, you can unwind in our comfortable breakout space or explore our student library for fresh inspiration. Every book has been carefully selected by our tutoring team to expand your thinking and deepen your understanding of counselling. New finds are regularly added, so there’s always something to spark curiosity and support your growth.
We provide the essentials
Our kitchen is fully stocked with tea, coffee, and a selection of milk, including oat milk, along with mugs, crockery, and cutlery for your convenience. We also provide a fridge and microwave on site, and the local area offers a café and supermarket for additional food and drinks during your breaks.
space to park
On-street parking directly outside the academy is limited to one hour up until 6pm and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. However, there is ample parking available at the nearby Village Hall, located at Elm Avenue, NG12 5AN, just a short walk around the corner. With prior notice, we can also reserve a disabled parking space for your convenience.
