We're based in Keyworth, Nottinghamshire (20 minutes from junction 24 of the M1). With a great central location, we're ideally placed to offer counselling training across the Midlands.

A certificate is typically awarded for completing a shorter course that we offer (the Level 2 and the Level 3), while a diploma (Level 4) is awarded for completing a more comprehensive, 2-year course.

Typically speaking, online courses with a limited amount of skills practice have not provided the suitable opportunity to have tutor guided and observation required to cement your knowledge. This is a fundamental part of our training programme and without this you won't meet the standard for our prior learning recognition policy.

We do recognise qualifications from other providers. Please contact us to discuss your prior learning and we can advise you on if your Level 2 meets our Level 3 entry requirements.

We want to make sure that you have the foundational knowledge to embark on our 2 year Level 4 diploma. We have strict criteria to meet in order to progress onto our courses. You'll be invited to an interview where we'll review your previous learning and ensure that your knowledge and skills meet our admissions criteria.

Yes. You can take a break between years 1 and 2 of the TCL4 (a maximum of 1 year break). If this is the case for you, please discuss this with your diploma course tutors who can explain the process more fully.

We don't have a car park however there is on street parking available and that's unrestricted from 6pm (and free for 1 hour before that).

There is free parking available nearby, just a short walk from our academy.

Our academy does not have step free access and is based across two floors so unfortunately we do not provide wheelchair access.

Yes. We take integrity seriously at Greenwood so not only are all our tutors qualified to the industry standard for counselling, they're also working either as counsellors or as specialist helping professionals.

Absolutely. You're welcome to learn in the way that suits you. Our main training room is only used for classroom-based learning so when you're practicing your skills you can leave your technology there.

We also have wifi in our academy.

We do not permit recording of our classroom sessions under any circumstances. This includes capturing an audio or video recording of tutor-led or group discussions.

Candidates are invited to (and on occasions explicitly told to) record skills practice sessions but this is always to be engaged with transparently and respectfully.
