Greenwood Skills Practice Summer School

The summer break is always a time for dust to gather on the skills you've developed during your course. So, to keep your new skills fresh we are delighted to offer our unique Skills Practice Summer School. During August and September 2025 we will be hosting 4 separate Summer School days at our Greenwood academy in Keyworth, giving your sessions that are 4-hours long to practice your skills prepare you for the upcoming academic year. Priced at just £20 per 4-hour session, we want to give you the additional opportunities to support your counselling course.
In addition to this, students who are signed up to our Greenwood courses starting in September 2025 will receive 3 complimentary Summer School Skills Practice sessions*. That's 12 additional hours of support and development entirely on us!
*Simply pay for your Summer School session(s) upfront, and have the price of this deducted from your deposit. If you've already paid your deposit, we'll refund the difference!
Practice at your pace
During our Summer School sessions you'll work with other counselling students to practice your skills and observe theirs.
We'll be on hand to provide you with scenario content to keep you safe while you're in the role of 'client' and with at least one Greenwood tutor on site at all times, you'll only be a few steps away from immediate support.
Refreshments and the use of our academy are all part of this one-of-a-kind experience too.

Booking information
Our Skills Practice is available to all counselling students and spaces are allocated on a strictly first come, first serve basis. If you would like to book your slot(s), please complete the form below and a member of the Greenwood team will contact you to arrange payment and secure your booking.
We've set the following dates at our academy for 4 skills practice summer school sessions.
Monday 11th August - 10am - 2pm
Tuesday 19th August - 2pm - 6pm
Saturday 23rd August - 10am - 2pm
Monday 1st September - 10am - 2pm
*Please note, these are not teaching days and you will not be taught counselling skills during any of these sessions.
